Futuristic Living by Jacque Fresco - Jacque Fresco
A futuristic world has long been the stuff of science-fiction. But American-born Jacque Fresco has a pre-made model, ready and set to go.

To understand why the monetary system is not fit to eliminate poverty and needs abolishing in order to allow humanity to progress, leaving no one behind, click on the above link.

For those who have already understood, please read on.

Futuristic Living is Within Grasp for All

With money phased out, there would be no need for 90% of the world's professions. Without money, a great majority of crimes would naturally be eradicated. Couple this with the realistic prospect of automated construction using the clean and sensible approach of modular design, and you can see that humans can be freed of monotonous tasks, allowing more time for recreation and family.

With this injection of free time, incentives change. No longer are people's concerns on financial survival and the daily grind. Enjoyment can be found in the arts, social interaction, learning, adventure and personal development. And for those that have something significant to contribute, the future will be bright not only for them, but for everyone because of it.

It is not a dream to imagine automated manufacture. It is already a reality in pockets of present day industry. But crucially, modular and interchangeable design is clearly missing from life today, because each company and institution has a vested interest in its own patented system.

For example, there is no standard for engine design. This is good for the credit of individual designers (if they excel), but bad for variations in servicing, tools needed and costs to the industry overall. It is an approach far from streamlined. When one car company shares an open-platform with another manufacturer, the benefits are immediately felt. Imagine this kind of sense in all aspects of life, and customisation needn't disappear either.

Futuristic Transport

Futuristic concept cars are a constant hint of what could be. But rarely do manufacturers actually go ahead and produce those automobiles, as if held back by the industry trend, market timing and production hiccups. In the world of TVP, nothing will be delayed due to the market because there is no market, or by probability of profit because there is no money. Technology would be freed to produce all the concepts and high-end machinery that works for society.

Maglev (Magnetic Levitation) technology is already in use on Japanese and German train systems; with no friction or stressed parts it has the potential to propel theoretical tube-based trains at several thousand miles per hour and could replace international air travel.

Aircraft is already capable of being automated in take-off, flight and landing. With this kind of automation, the potential for hop on/hop off transport across nations or to cities at sea is not an unrealistic vision.

Simple solutions in transport using technology can eliminate the need for laws. It is only when a sensible solution cannot be arrived at that a law is made to punish those who break it. An intrinsic value of TVP is the addressing of root causes, not beating down on the effects with an iron fist.

Luxury Living in The Venus Project

By employing modular design, houses could be manufactured and assembled by automation, rather than by human workers. Made of thin pre-stressed reinforced concrete that is impervious to adverse weather, these homes can even be loaded and unloaded from high-rise structures and onto boats for holidaying, or onto other forms of transport for relocation to available beauty spots or to new cities.

Holiday homes in exotic parts of the world will be available for free to anyone who needs them, because without money and in a world of abundance, elitism is nullified. Houses can be designed in such a way to be self-cleaning, customisable, fully automated, green and smart. No one even need lock a front door again, if everyone has everything they need, theft is not an issue.

Jacque Fresco has even designed vast floating cities in the sea that also serve the purpose of marine study centres which focus on ecological balance. The task of cleaning the innumerable toxic spillages at sea from the past decades could also become an additional project for these locations, allowing humans to begin regenerating nature and correcting past mistakes.

The Next Step for Change

Having looked at some of the exciting points offered by The Venus Project, a real desire for change must be nurtured by the people who believe in its potential.

There has never been anything quite like The Venus Project. For all its bold advocacy, it is actually based on the logical reasoning of society and science in harmony, this is why it deserves such a strong backing.

In closing, if ever you find yourself verbally bashing an aspect of society's sickness, take a moment to consider the processes that have gone into influencing that result. Stand for something that has the power to begin the overhaul needed to make a permanent change for humankind in its quest for true potential, worldwide freedom and responsible living.

In the words of the great man himself when talking about his creation – The Venus Project: “It's not perfect, it's just a lot better. We can never achieve perfection.”

And in those words, may humanity find its drive to evolve.
